Guide for reduced oil capacity
When installing a shortened oil pan the overall oil capacity of the engine is slightly reduced. Under most conditions this isn't a problem, however, under hard cornering or hard acceleration/deceleration the oil may momentarily fail to fully immerse the oil sump. This can cause internal engine damage and significantly reduce the engines life.
To avoid engine oil starvation we recommend several steps be taken as a precaution.
Use a larger capacity oil filter.
Replace the factory oil cooler with a fin type cooler, available here.
For race applications we recommend using an Accusump® system.
